I am a first time babywearer, which carrier do you recommend?
A sling for ease of use and versatility. The Maya Tie if your child is getting heavy or you will wear your child for long periods of time.

Which products are adjustable?
All of our products are adjustable. Slings and the Maya Tie can be continuously adjusted to be as snug as you desire. No buckles or snaps to fiddle with!

Which carrier works best when taking baby in and out frequently?
Slings are very easy to put on and take off and are excellent for short trips or toddlers who want to be up, then down, then up, then down...

What carrier do you recommend for all day babywearing?
The Maya Tie. It takes a little longer to put on than a sling but it distributes baby’s weight over both of your shoulders and your hips and is extremely comfortable for long term babywearing.

Can I share my baby carrier with our caregiver or my spouse?
All of our baby carriers are fully adjustable and therefore can be worn by different sized people. Our slings do not have padded rails and are adjustable over a large range. In most cases, people of different sizes will be able to share one sling. The Maya Tie straps are also long enough to allow a fairly large size range.

What carrier would you recommend if I am breastfeeding?
Our sling provides excellent privacy when you are nursing. The long tail can be put over your shoulder for complete coverage. Always keep a close watch on your baby while nursing your baby in a carrier and never use a nipple shield while nursing a baby in a carrier.

What is the weight limit for Maya Wraps?
We recommend an upper weight limit of 40 pounds (18 kilos) for our Maya Tie and 35 pounds (16 kilos) for our slings.

What are Gently Used Products?
Our gently used slings, available in our Maya Outlet, are returns we have received from customers who either needed a different size, wanted a different color or exchanged for another reason. The inventory of the gently used slings varies widely from day to day and for this reason we cannot offer a fabric selection. However our gently used slings have the same 90 day return policy as our new carriers.
